Information You Submit
Terms Entered in Search
A name or location entered in a search box is transmitted to the third-party company operating that tool. Todd County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems.
Emails and Messages
If you send an email or contact message, we retain it as needed to respond. We do not share that correspondence outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Automatic Technical Information
Standard service and analytics records may collect basic details when a page loads:
- Internet Protocol address
- Browser name and version
- Device category and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent on them
- The referring site, when supplied
- Date and time stamps
Cookies and Similar Tools
Cookies help measure how visitors use the pages. Browser controls can reject or remove them, though blocking cookies may change how some features work.
Why We Process Data
Collected information supports routine publishing and technical operations. We use it to:
- Operate the site and maintain acceptable speed
- Send search requests to the selected partner service
- Understand which Todd County resources visitors use
- Diagnose errors and repair technical problems
- Display advertising that may reflect visitor interests
Leaving for Another Website
Links lead to Todd Sheriff records, Minnesota corrections and court portals, federal tools, and outside search services. Once a visitor follows a link, the destination's privacy policy governs its collection and use of data.
Advertising companies may use their own systems to observe activity across multiple websites and select interest-based ads. That cross-site tracking occurs through their technology, not records held by this site.
Parties That May Receive Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited data may reach these recipients for the stated operational or legal purpose:
- Search partners that process a submitted query
- Analytics providers that measure site activity
- Advertising networks that deliver ads
- Law enforcement or government bodies acting under a valid legal order
Reasonable Security Measures
We use customary safeguards intended to protect information. No website, network, or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot promise that a breach or unauthorized access will never occur.
Adults Only
This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use the Contact Us page to request deletion.
Requests About Your Data
Subject to applicable law and verification, a user may ask us to:
- Provide a copy of personal data we hold
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Erase personal information where required
- Stop certain processing where an opt-out right applies
Requests for government records belong with the public office under the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act, not through this privacy process.
Changes to This Notice
We may revise this privacy notice as site practices or legal requirements change. A revised version becomes effective when posted here with its new effective date.
